A snake draft, with the draft order randomized beforehand. The draft date (and backup dates, in case it needs to be rescheduled) will be announced closer to the season.
Each manager pays a $50 entry fee at the start of the season, held securely for the year. Total pot: $500.
The top six teams by regular-season record make the playoffs; the top two get a first-round bye. Playoff rounds are single-week games. Everyone else plays out the season in the toilet bowl.
Every week, each team also plays the league median score. Rank all ten scores and take the middle value: teams above it pick up an extra win, teams below it an extra loss, on top of their head-to-head result. It's meant to soften the effect of a brutal (or lucky) matchup draw and reward teams that score well every week, not just on the weeks it matters for a head-to-head.
Players and FAAB can both be traded. Multi-team trades are allowed and encouraged. One-week rentals — trading for a player with the clear intent to drop them right back after a single start — are not allowed.
Waivers run on a $100 FAAB budget per team, for the full season. Claims process Wednesdays at 2:00 AM Central, after Monday Night Football closes out the week's games. A dropped player clears waivers 24 hours after the drop.
Waiver priority (used to break tied FAAB bids) runs in reverse order of the standings — the worst record picks first.
Proposed rule changes go to the commissioner for review, then to a league-wide vote. A change needs a majority of all league members to pass.
Collusion is not allowed. A confirmed violation gets the offending manager banned, with no refund of league fees.
When collusion is found, a two-thirds majority of the league can vote to lock the affected roster(s) for the rest of the season; the commissioner then sets the most optimal lineup for that team each week based on projected scoring, so the rest of the league isn't punished by an abandoned or compromised roster.
Have fun. That's the whole point of this.
This league does not use divisions.
